Lesson 4b

There are some interesting ideas to work with photos on Flickr Toys. The new jigsaw picture would be fun. I did create a mosaic (using the link below). I've found mosaics to be a fun and interesting way to show photos of the same theme. You can even get a poster printed (for a price, of course.)

When I have more time perhaps I will enjoy exploring more of the Flickr Tools and Toys.

Lesson 4a

Flickr seems to be a very comprehensive imaging sight, but with so much it offers, it seems to be a little complicated to use. Maybe the more I use it, the easier it will be. I do like the tag feature--it makes finding certain photos so much easier.
Sandy beach, blue water and palm trees: far cry from frosty pines, snow drifts and 20 degrees below zero. But both are pretty in their own way. (Right now, I'd rather have a little taste of the beach, however.)

Lesson 3 RSS feeds

I've used RSS feeds for quite some time now on my home page. It's a great way of staying up on the news and other events of the areas I'm interested in. The book review feeds would be a big help to patrons in the library.

Lesson 2/Life is a Lesson

Life is a lesson; and this one's a blog!
Learning happens everyday if I keep my eyes, ears and mind open. I am responsible for my learning--I watch, I listen--before I know it, I've learned something (and not always what I've intended to learn.)
Time is the biggest problem. I try to do as much as I can (or must do) in what free time I have. Setting aside the time to actually work on a project--that is the challenge. But once I begin I usually discover that the "procrastination demon" becomes a dim memory.
